What gets measured gets done. What gets measured and fed back, gets done well. What gets rewarded gets repeated. John E. Jones
What is the return that I would get on my investment in leadership development?
The question, often asked by decision makers before they would embark on a leadership
development initiative, has been researched by several leadership development practitioners.
Daniel Goleman, celebrated for his work on emotional intelligence, has done a lot
of research work in this regard. In his book Primal Leadership he states: Roughly
50 to 70 percent of how employees perceive their organizations climate can be traced
to the actions of one person: the leader. More than anyone else the leader creates
the conditions that determine peoples ability to work well. Other research results
